Priorities:

• Finalize Study Questions (Complete)

• Recruitment of participants (In Progress)

• Submit grant proposals to the Center for Humanities and Education for Life (In Progress)

• Submit for IRB approval (Very Much In Progress)

Notes:

• Throughout the summer, I went through about three phases of study questions. They are complete on our end— now, we wait for IRB approval…

• The recruitment Instagram has been up and running since June. However, recruitment efforts have been delayed due to IRB necessities.

• I presented my research progress to Dr. Camper and received guidance on what my grant proposals should focus on. Now, both grant proposals and IRB are in progress.

What’s Going Well:

• Steady progress on all three major documents

• Major progress on setting the groundwork for eventual recruitment + the finalization of study questions

What Could’ve Been Done Better:

• Late in the game for IRB approval (should have researched that more comprehensively); this process has delayed the start of the research.

Focus For The Rest of Summer ‘21:

• IRB submission

• Grant proposals submission

Focus Heading Into Fall:

• Finalizing participant cohort
